 Directions to the Howell Territorial Park and Food Works Farm

The Howell Territorial Park is located 15 miles northwest of Portland on the southwestern side of Sauvie Island. Take US Highway 30 west to the Sauvie Island bridge. Cross the bridge, and follow Sauvie Island Road straight for about 1 mile. Make a right on Howell Park Road. Parking is to the immediate left just after the mailboxes.

Once you have parked, walk up the hill and past the big white house on your right. Go through the orchard (passing a big red barn on your right). The field to the left of the orchard is part of Food Works. Walk toward the greenhouse and yellow shed in front of you, take a left at the greenhouse and walk around that field and head towards the shed, kitchen and cooler. That’s it, you have arrived.

Please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and modest work clothes.

Bring work gloves if you have them, a water bottle and sunscreen
